Recent Projects
With diverse expertise, our current projects range from sewer bypass to recycled water implementation. See how the results speak for themselves.
Jefferson Street Sewer Bypass Project
COACHELLA VALLEY WATER DISTRICT / PALM DESERT, CA.
T.R. Holliman and Associates designed a unique project consisting of designing sewer bypass facilities between the District’s sewer force main system and gravity system at two locations and replacing all the plug valves and fittings in two intersections. This $1,000,000 project will allow the District to shift flows from their 18-inch force mains to adjacent gravity sewers so that repairs could be made on the force mains without causing a disruption in sewer service to their customers. T.R. Holliman and Associates prepared design plans and specifications, coordinated survey and geotechnical investigations, coordinated permit and traffic control issues with the City of La Quinta, and assisted in evaluating the bids received for the project. Construction support will be provided through the completion of the project which is expected by April 2020. Also included in the project is replacing all the valves and fittings on the sewer force mains at three different high traffic locations.
Recycled Water Feasibility Study/Master Plan
CITY OF SANTA ANA, CA.
T.R. Holliman and Associates prepared a recycled water feasibly/master plan for the City evaluating over 43,000 connections for potential conversion to recycled water. Also included developing and calibrating a recycled water hydraulic model and phasing plans, capital improvement recommendations and grant application support. This report will be used to plan the next 10 years of recycled water conversions throughout the City and provide the basis for pursuing grants for the construction of pipelines, pump stations, and reservoirs needed for the full project implementation. The identified sites for conversion included schools, parks, golf courses, and commercial and industrial landscaping. The City of Santa Ana currently has over 20 existing recycled water connections to the Orange County Water District’s Green Acres Project in Orange County, CA.
Recycled Water Implementation Roadmap
BEAUMONT CHERRY VALLEY WATER DISTRICT / BEAUMONT, CA.
This project includes developing a “road map” to help the District implement the conversion of 300 existing non-potable water customers in 2020. The District will be receiving recycled water from the City of Beaumont but will need to have all the engineering and regulatory compliance issues completed before then. T.R Holliman and Associates is identifying the engineering and planning issues, regulatory compliance issues, customer outreach programs elements, recycled water rates recommendations, and cost estimates for the conversions.
